The fourth Management Committee meeting of CA22139 Y-JustLang was held in Berlin on 4 May 2026, with COST Science Officer Rossella Magli in attendance. The Action Chair reported that the mid-term report had been submitted and that the Action had been presented at the European Prison Association, the World Congress on Justice with Children and a Prison Reform International meeting in Bucharest. Webinars, talks and training school materials are available on the Action’s website.

The Working Groups reported that the Action is now moving towards specific outputs, including a scoping review on adolescents’ receptive language skills, an analysis of the language of youth rights texts, an inventory of language tests, workshops with young people in the youth justice system, and questionnaires for legal professionals. A training school in Zagreb with judges, police and legal professionals was covered by Croatian national television.

Upcoming activities include a masterclass on language in youth justice in Leuven with COST Action CA22128, a presentation at IAFLL 2026 in Montpellier, a stakeholder event in Brussels, and a final Action event in 2027.
