Justice To Youth Language Needs: Human rights undermined by an invisible disadvantage
About Us
Y-JustLang is an international network funded by COST (CA22139), dedicated to highlighting the critical importance of addressing the language needs of young people in contact with the law. Our multidisciplinary team includes members from the fields of theoretical, developmental and clinical linguistics, speech and language therapy, psychology, education, law, social work, criminology, sociology, and health sciences. Together, we aim to safeguard youth rights, enhance youth justice services, inform and influence policy-making, affect public spending, promote transnational discussions, and raise awareness of the long-term impact of unmet language needs on vulnerable young people.
